Imagine facing a legal challenge threatening a home or land that has been in your family for generations. The experience is complex, often taking years to resolve. I worked with legal professionals to design courses that help individuals learn how to protect their land.

The main challenge was adapting complex legalities into comprehensible course material. The subject matter is inherently heavy and challenging to understand without legal guidance.

I approached this challenge to make the law accessible and digestible. The course content was written to cater to the average U.S. reading level - the eighth grade. We used humor and storytelling so that the learner would not get discouraged. We focused on gradually building comprehension using a mix of multimedia: interactive content, videos, comic strips, and worksheets. Every chapter concluded with scenario-based questions to test and reward their understanding and a micromovement worksheet to help them achieve small wins.

Visuals play a vital role in setting the tone for learning. We strategized to maintain an encouraging and inclusive learning environment, using friendly colors and illustrations that resonated with the light-hearted spirit we aimed for.
